A basic hand tooled mug starts off life flat as the picture on the right above. We mold it, shape it, add leather pieces to the handles, line it with another piece of leather on the inside and sew on a base to create a custom mug just for you. The whole 15 step process takes a little over 4 hours to make just one mug. Hand-tooled mugs on average take between 7 to 10 hours. We started making them in 1999 and have made over 2300 mugs to date.
